The game wear on size XXL sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and some terrific team-sewn repair work that can be found on both sleeves and the back of this vintage offering. The nameplate has been removed from the verso and lost to history. The Soviet National Team did wear this exact style in red while touring the US and Canada during the 1982-83 Super Series, which they played against select NHL teams with Kapuston wearing his familiar #8 as shown in the photos above.
